Use the following handout for help. Step 1. Get your topic sentence from the top of your summary pyramid. Step 2: Explain TS with two or three sentences. Step 3: Use the template to introduce the article title, author, and author's claim. Step 4: Use a transition to move from the author's claim to quote the evidence with a parenthetical citation: (par #). Step 5: Explain the quotes and why it is significant (important). Step 6: Write a concluding sentence.
